Product Description: The 3M SJ3550 features interlocking mushroom-shaped heads (250 stem density per square inch) that provide strong, reliable, and durable fastening, which can be opened and closed multiple times. It has 5 times the 180° tensile strength of normal hook and loop tape. The back side applying surface of the conformable foam tape bonds well to a variety of substrates including metal, wood, tile, plastic, and glass, among others. However, it is not recommended for use on water/humid surfaces, dusty surfaces, non-smooth surfaces, or old walls, as it may cause damage or not bond well. The bond strength must be stronger than the lock-strength to prevent peeling from the adhered surface.

After bonding, the interlocked mushroom stems can be fixed, spiral, and rivet, but they can be easily separated and accessible to the fixed objects.

Installation and Removal: At room temperature, approximately 50% of the ultimate strength will be achieved after 20 minutes, 90% after 24 hours, and 100% after 72 hours. Spraying alcohol on the tape makes it easy to peel off. It is important to clean the bonding surface and avoid touching the stick layer before using the tape, as any contact will cause it to peel away.
